Henry Kelsey Henry Kelsey is Hudson’s Bay Company’s 2011 Limited Edition Heritage Bear. Henry “The Boy” Kelsey was a Hudson’s Bay Company explorer best known for his 1690-1692 journey into the heart of the western plains of Canada. His surviving journal of 1691 records his sightings of the buffalo and grizzly bear, the first by any European. An adventurer who has earned his stripes, this Henry is happy to share his courage or join you in a cozy cuddle. Net proceeds from the sale of this Limited Edition Heritage Bear support the HBC Foundation, dedicated to improving the lives of Canada’s children, women and families.
