Unlike nearly all large manufacturers, WMF adheres to the traditional forging method in its own blade forge in Germany.In this process,the knife is forged from one piece of special blade steel under the forging hammer and afterwards hardened. Therefore,there is no need for seams,and joins between blade,bolster and pivot. It is this traditional expertise and extensive process which can include up to 35 work steps to produce a first-class product -Made in Germany

The forged bolster provides an excellent finger protection. Ergonomically shaped handles are well balanced,and the finish is seamless and completely hygienic.Every WMF knife is made sharp thorugh the cut, which is manually applied by experienced craftsmen,and the precise cutting angle is checked using laser technology.All WMF knifes have an optimum cutting angle of 40 degrees which ensures the best sharpness and edge retention.Made in Germany
